August 20-30 Spent in Gary. Met Marg and kids at Dunes Park on Tues. Spent night there. Ken got documents in Chicago. Preached at church. Visited Fountains on Wed. Stayed overnight. Spears there too. Took kids in to Chicago on Monday to Museum of Science and Industry.
[Judy remembers...]I remember when we went to the Museum in Chicago,
there was a telephone on display, and there was a plaque near it
that said that in the future we'd be able to see the people we were talking
to. Hmm. Here we are, talking on Skype, looking at each other.
August 30 Left Gary Tuesday afternoon. Stayed with [Krankas] overnight.
August 31 Had breakfast and lunch with Krankas. Ken went back into Chicago to get two new 8-ply tires to replace the 2 6-ply which had bulged. We left Krankas' in the afternoon and stayed overnight at Camp Le-aqua-na, by the side of a lovely lake. Went boating with the kids for a while before going to bed.
