Oct 19. Went over to Hernandez for breakfast. What a treat to be in a home again. I got all the wash done and ironed. Wonderful feeling! We had a delicious meal at noon and a real nice time with them. They gave us a box of cookies. After we got all repacked again and took pictures, we took off for San Jose. Got in in an hour and drove downtown to the Clinica Biblica to find out where we could stay. The Mission S.A. has no Home, but they let us park behind the Radio Station where there were toilets. The Wortmans (who are directors of the station and live just behind) were very nice to us and let me use the wash-machine. So I got all the bedding washed, which really needed it badly. Thank the Lord for providing all these needs.
Oct 20. I called [Beulah] Cabezos, and she came and got us in her car and drove us out to Monrovia to the leather factory. We bought a purse for Pat there and a belt for Rony. Then we went back to [Beoulah's] place and she bought ice cream, pop and cookies and stuffed the kids. What a gorgeous place they have. Be is just the same as ever and gave us a very good time.
She took us home and we drove out to Coco Airport for gas, but it was closed. So home again, after buying tacos for supper. Put the kids to bed, except Jean and Gordie, and went back to Cabezos to see about Jean's knee. He said it was OK. Talked some more and had coke. Then went home to bed.
Magali really got attached to Martha behind us, and could hardly leave her. And Gordie spent most of his time with Jerry Frost and his motorcycle.
