Oct 2. Got up rather late, and after eating breakfast, drove around town looking for a church, which we didn't find. We got to see some of the downtown area and really felt good to be in a Spanish speaking country again and see all the familiar shops again.
We went across the road for dinner and ordered a different tortilla dish for lunch, so got to taste the Mexican cuisine de una vez. Delicious!
At night we looked up the First Baptist Church in town and finally fount it. We ate cheese sandwiches in the car and bananas on the way. Gordie and Ronny stayed in the car while the rest of us attended the meeting.
Oct 3. We had a long night's rest--too long, in fact. It was almost 7:00 when we got up, so had to hustle to get on the way.
Bought some bread and bananas on the way out of town and ate along the road. Afternoon we stopped at a gas station where we looked at semi precious stones, rough and polished. The vendor was very nice--did his own polishing. Gordie and Jean bought two stones, and Ronny earned another one by crying because he couldn't buy one.

Later in the afternoon the trailer tire tread came loose, so we had to stop and replace it. That was at [Motehuala.] Got into San Luiz about 5:00 and looked for a trailer court. Finally found a Motel that would let us have one room with shower and pool. The kids enjoyed the pool though the wind was cold. We enjoyed the hot shower and washed clothes (which was too bad because there was no way to dry them). So we have a big bag of wet laundry to take along.
