Friday, Nov 18. We had our hot meal, but on the football field. No room in the inn.
Went to the Embassy in the morning and received a letter from Pat telling us she had passages confirmed to arrive 2 p.m. Thurs. the 17th on APSA. APSA didn't know where she went, so I started calling hotels all over the city. After about 45 minutes of that, the girl asked if I had checked at the airport to see if she had arrived. No. She called. She hadn't gotten in on that plane--so the picture was more confused than ever. Checked at Embassy a number of times for further word, but nothing. Decided to meet next plane, which is tomorrow.
Saturday, Nov 19. No further word from Pat at Embassy. I'm sure they thought I was a real pest. Went that p.m. to airport fully expecting Pat to arrive, but nothing. We began to wonder seriously what had happened. Got back to house very late. In afternoon had tried to get together with Alan Shannon, but he wasn't in. Roffe's offered us the great room, but we didn't use it yet, except to put 3 suitcases in.
Sunday, Nov 20. Went to I.E.P. church on Ave. Brasil with the Roffes. He brought the message in absence of the pastor. Good message on God's attitude toward sin. After church, went to Bob Gray (a ham operator referred by Dick Trout) and he very graciously took 2 hours of his time to make contact with Sig via Holland, Michigan. Found out Pat was in Miami waiting for the plane to leave that night. What a relief! At least now we know what is giong on. Heard Sig very clearly. Had supper with the Boices (John not present) and a good time of fellowship with Roffes (who came over) after supper.
